I am so privileged to have had a grandma that adored everything I did. Tonight, as I create this blog to memorialize her life, tears are streaming down my face because it is really hard to lose someone you love so much.
I had the honor to be with her yesterday when she was able to respond - which was the last time she had a conversation. All the time I knelt at her bedside holding her hand I was praying for the Holy Spirit to bring her comfort during these last hours and I'm thankful that my prayers were answered.
Mom has been with her through the fast decline and was singing "King of Kings and Lord of Lords" as she took her last breath.
I know she touched so many lives and hope over the next week or so we can get the word out about a memorial online since her wishes were to not have any funeral or memorial service.
I don't know if this blog will serve that purpose or if we'll find a better website to gather pictures and memories.
